- Review of Our Dark Duet by Victoria Schwab
This one wasn't for me. I read half but didn't finish this second in the Monsters of Verity series. Look at that beautiful cover! I tried listening to this as an audiobook, but this one wasn't for me. I was halfway through but didn't finish. I couldn't buy into the musical instruments as instruments of death, what felt like overwrought narration of the audiobook, and the amount of time it took to get into the meat of the story and develop characters and fates that I cared about. What did you think? This is the second in Schwab's Monsters of Verity series; the first is This Savage Song, which I gave 3.5 stars. #fantasyscifi, #youngadult, #series, #didnotfinish
